Self Portrait #2
Self Portrait
Something clicked for me with this assignment in which the technical challenges of painting no longer outweighed my vision for the ending composition. This piece felt like a collaboration with myself, where I leaned into the areas I have struggled most with as someone who primarily works with printmaking, like color and texture. Although there are areas I wish to rework, I am very pleased with the result. I feel proud of this painting and what it stands for as a turning point in my relationship with paint.
